Why did you join the B-Thrive movement?
I was looking for a community to share some of the more emotional aspects of setting up and running the business. For most people, they see a Black man running a rum business; however, few people see the bigger significance of the narratives of self-expression, reinforcing identity and valuing culture and custom that drive my passion. The B-Thrive platform brings a range of businesses with a social purpose together to share to voice the value of collectivism in our personal businesses and lives. The international nature of the platform is a great strength and will start to help improve understanding of the different and similar challenges we face in different parts of the diaspora.
